Reflective practice is an important tools in practice based learning settings where people learn from their own professional experiences, rather from knowledge transfer.It may be the most important source of personal development and improvement. It is also another way of linking theory and practice together ,Nevertheless through reflection a person is able to see and label forms of thought and theory together within the context of his or her work.

Reflective practitioners think throughout the past event,analyses their experiences , actions and responses to reconstruct ideas through careful planning and systematic elimination and finding solution to other possible problems.

Reflection.
  • Reflection helps someone to be more creative and try new things. It’s very easy to get stuck in a furrow and it can be helpful to think about what an individual is doing and why we are doing it. This can help to spark new ideas and ways of thinking.
  • Human nature means that we all make assumptions about people and situations. Taking a step back and reflecting can help you to challenge some of these assumptions and see things from a new perspective.
  • Reflection is a key part of emotional sharp – the ability to understand and remain in control of our emotions. This is a useful skills to have both for our own safety and when working as a group.
  • It helps to sustain a healthy work/life balance by rendering a defined process for thinking things through. Hopefully you can learn from them and move on rather than dwelling on what had happened in the past .
